Ingredients
- 1 Package Harvest Fresh Cipolline Onion, sliced
- 4 Cups Beef Broth
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 Cup Scamorza cheese, cubed, or cheese of preference, divided
- 2 Slices Provolone Cheese, divided
- 2 Ciabatta bread, sliced, divided
Directions
- In a Large pot, on high heat, bring broth to a light boil, let simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a pan, on medium to high heat, add butter, once melted add Cipolline onions, cook until translucent and browned.
- Add Cipolline onions in broth, and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Preheat Oven on Broil.
- In each onion soup bowl, add ½ cup Scamorza cheese, onion soup, 1 slice of Ciabatta bread and top with 1 slice of provolone cheese.
- Place in oven, for 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Then ready to serve.
